I don't know about anyone else, but is there life after the kids are grown and gone? I'm so lonely sometime I can't stand it. I have always had a house full of kids and family and now I'm alone and I can't cope sometimes. It's hard to even find a friend on line who will write. Even pen pales would be great, just someone to talk too.

Hello Debbie85653, I will be your friend. Even in a city the size of Phoenix I get lonely sometimes but I do get to be around other singles at least once a week at my church. I did however go to Spain last year by myself. I like that this site has web blogs.

That is why I came to this website originally. It was for pen pals. I just really wanted to find people I could relate too who would talk and not prejudge. I have alot of friends but we are all in different stages in our lives and its hard to spend time with each other like we use to. I had hoped this would be away to fill in those times when I really needed to talk to someone.

Yes, there is life. Where? Well, I'm still looking but I've found hints of one here and there.
I like to go to the local parks and watch the kids play. If no one wants to go with you -- pack yourself up a picnic and go anyway!
Sometimes I drive into town and walk part of the riverfront park (it's about a 3 mile span). I sit along the river bank and read. Now and then someone passes by and stops to chat for a few minutes.
I also take myself to the movies on occasion, go for ice cr more...Yes, there is life. Where? Well, I'm still looking but I've found hints of one here and there.

I also take myself to the movies on occasion, go for ice cream, or just sit on a bench at the mall watching life walk by.
I get lonely too -- more than I'd like to admit. But when lonely becomes too much to bear, then that's when I hit the streets so to speak.
If you want to write/chat, let me know. Online friends are wonderful! less...
